Let’s talk about frosting, shall we?

Yes.  Let’s.

When I made my Pop Pop’s Zucchini Chocolate Cake yesterday, I decided that a homemade cake really called for a homemade icing.  So I used his recipe for Cream Cheese Frosting, the same frosting that I remember being with this cake growing up.  It’s very simple – enjoy!

Cream Cheese Frosting

3-4 ounces Cream Cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup Butter (room temperature)
2 cups Powdered Sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla

Start by creaming together the cream cheese and the butter …

Stir in the vanilla and then add the powdered sugar, 1/2 cup at a time.

Frosting!

I’m not sure if this is necessary, but I have been keeping the cake refrigerated because of the cream cheese in the frosting.

Oh gracious.  I may need to cut another sliver tonight.

Ok Twin, this looks amazing. I love anything related to zucchini, or chocolate, or cream cheese. So I will be making this. :)

Oh dear cream cheese frosting is my weakness. Ok well maybe wine, french fries, and brownies are also my weaknesses. But this frosting definitely makes the top 5.
